The swimming pool is kidney shaped and has been landscaped around. There are steps down to the swimming pool from the property's terrace though is also accessible from the main driveway.

The main entrance to the cottage is via a part-glazed wooden door into the kitchen. The kitchen has a tiled floor and partially tiled walls. There is a good range of modern, contemporary style base and eye level built in units with black granite work surfaces. The kitchen has a black stone sink and drainer, integrated gas hob, integral oven and microwave and space for a dishwasher and free standing fridge freezer.

Off the kitchen there is a hallway, which also has a tiled floor. The hallway provides access to the property's two double bedrooms, both of which have tiled floors and traditional style wooden ceilings. The bathroom is also accessed off the hallway. The bathroom is fully tiled and has toilet, bidet, vanity basin with storage cupboard beneath and shower cubicle.

The living room, which is double aspect, is also accessed off the hallway, though also has a set of patio doors which lead to a large terrace at the front aspect of the cottage as well as an exterior access door. The living room has a tiled floor and a centralised free-standing log burning stove set on a stone hearth. There are traditional wooden beams to the ceiling of the living room. The living room is light and airy and has a study area and has been fitted with air conditioning as well.

Adjacent to the cottage there is a single storey, open fronted car port with feature cylindrical stone pillars. The car port has a tiled floor and also provides access to the property's utility room. The utility room is partially tiled and is plumbed ready for a washing machine and sink and also provides ample storage space.

Behind the car port and utility room there is a covered terrace with large, tiled patio area. The covered terrace has a built in barbecue with stone chimney.

Studio Cottage: Within the grounds of the property there is a single storey studio cottage. The cottage, which has wooden framed windows and doors, is ideal for anyone looking to earn a modest income from holiday or long term rental.

The cottage has been fitted with air conditioning and is open plan in design, though has been cleverly subdivided to create a bedroom, living room and kitchen areas. This open plan area has a tiled floor and is double aspect. The kitchen area has a selection of built in wooden base and eye level units with granite work surfaces. There is an integral gas hob and sink and drainer. Within the living room area there is a free-standing wood burning stove mounted on a stone hearth. There is a fully tiled bathroom off this open-plan area. The bathroom has a toilet, pedestal sink and shower cubicle.

The cottage has it's own parking area, accessed off the main driveway to the left at the entrance of the property. The cottage is private and not overlooked by the main cottage.

In addition the property also has a single storey wooden summer house. The summer house is also nestled among trees and has a small veranda. It is being used by the current owners for storage, though is ideal as a changing room for the swimming pool. The summer house is connected to electricity and has several power points. There is currently a fridge in situ and this is included within the sale of the property.

The property is set on a plot measuring 2,680 square metres and a proportion of this is woodland. The gardens have been landscaped and though set on a small hillock are easily maintainable.

The property is located in Casalinho, which is a short walk to the edge of Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir. Castelo do Bode lake is popular with water sport lovers and you can enjoy a number of activities on the lake including water skiing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, fishing, scuba diving and bird watching.

The property is secluded though not isolated and there are other properties in the vicinity. There are several cafes within walking distance of the property as well as a restaurant with several more only a short drive away.

The closest town to the property is located at Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo. Tomar is a popular and bustling town with a range of supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants, bus and train station, sports centres, pharmacies, banks, health centres, university and hospital.

The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is around one and a quarter hours' by car. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
